It’s taken me a while to figure out exactly what I wanted to say with this post.
A long, long while.
Whenever someone has the type of career that invites criticism of one’s work, life, behavior, and so on, it can get complicated when it comes to how much is appropriate to share. Deciding what’s personal and what’s professional and where that very thin and sometimes very blurry line is can be overwhelming to say the least. With that in mind, you may notice that this is not my very pretty, very bright and flashy website (www.caiseyquinnwrites.com). Here’s why: that website is smarter than me and I can’t figure out how to work it. It’s beautiful and I am so thankful to Brea at Utterly Chaotic for her hard work. But I am a writer and not being able to post on my blog for a year now has been frustrating and stifling. That being said, until I can figure out how to make that website bend to my will, you can find the thoughts from my very messy mind right here. Which leads me to another tidbit I wanted to share. I have a new motto when it comes to my life and my career and pretty much everything.
I have worked very, very hard on defining and establishing my brand. While I will continue to work very hard publishing books both independently and traditionally, I have decided to scale back a bit on the marketing and promo and things like complicated websites that I can’t seem to figure out. My energy will be henceforth dedicated to my daughter, my family, my faith, my career, and my friends.
